Sander was enrolled as a student at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. Six days after her disappearance, on November 29,2007, investigators found a body which they said matched a preliminary physical description of Sander. The body was found about 50 miles east of El Dorado. Police are searching for a man whom they have identified as a "person of interest". According to police, the two were seen leaving a bar in east El Dorado on November 23, 2007.
