As an unknown 16 year old she came in second in a topless photograph competition organised by The Sunday People in 1983. She soon became nationally famous and became a regular page three girl in the Sun newspaper, subsequently appearing as a nude model in girlie magazines. She is 5 feet 1 inch tall. The shots were not explicit by modern standards and appear natural.
